House League Meet Report - New National Swimmer Daniel Joyce, New A Swimmer Lochlan Weavers and New B Swimmers Robert Cornea and Mathieu Cyr

   MEET WRITE UP FOR HOUSELEAGUE DECEMBER 17 – 2011

Our December house-league meet saw swimmers from Lac LaBiche join us this year and it was great to see so many kids taking part. We hoped to have our electronic touch pads and score board in action this time but due to technical difficulties we were not able to and had to revert to ‘Plan B’ which was to go back to the stopwatches. Nevertheless the meet went extremely well and we once again had a slew of best times and new B, A and National level qualifiers!
 		    
   

   
   
Congratulations to our first B time qualifiers Mathieu Cyr ( Blue  /  Bronze group) and Robert Cornea         (Bronze / Silver group). Great job boys !

First A time qualifier Lochlan Weavers earned his colours in the backstroke and freestyle this weekend while Daniel Joyce made certain of his Age Group National time in the 50 breast.  Excellent swimming and well done to all of you.

It was also very nice to see a marked improvement in stroke technique especially at the younger levels. It`s very important to take the time to put in the correct foundation work at the developmental stages so thank you very much coaches for all the extra work you have put into your young swimmers. The results are definitely starting to speak for themselves!

Our next meet will be Blue Bears for those who have qualifying times January 13th – 15th.
