FMSC Squad Heads North to Queensland

By: RB - Sep. 03, 2007

It sounds weird but it is what it is.  The FMSC Squad has left the southern end of New South Wales and the Country capital region of Canberra to head north for the sun and the heat.

We have travelled about 1000km north to the border of Queensland and New South Wales and are in a place just south of Surfers Paradise.  This is the southern most end of the Gold Coast.  The weather is awesome, the beaches are insane and the situation is perfect.

We are training with the Twin Towns team that includes an International squad sponsored by the New South Wales Institute of Sport and coached by Greg Salter.  This group specializes in backstroke and we will soon see some amazing work with them.  (They are just getting back from SC Nationals).

Our last leg of our journey heads even further north on Wednesday afternoon as we go to Maroochydore.  We will be there for about 7 days before we head back to Sydney.
